Successful Information Event on the New Greek Conscription Law

On Friday, 28 August 2026, an information event on the new regulations of the Greek conscription law for persons with permanent residence abroad took place in Frankfurt.

AHEPA Frankfurt e.V. served as the organizer, taking charge of the organization and the smooth running of the evening. The Consulate General of Greece in Frankfurt am Main contributed the specialist content and ensured a competent line-up of speakers. Together, both partners provided the attendees with an informative and practical event.

As the officer responsible for military service matters, Mrs. Aikaterini Tsamadia from the Embassy of Greece in Berlin participated via video conference. She explained the new regulations in detail and was available to answer the numerous questions from those present. Particular attention was given to the individual case constellations of Greeks living abroad.

The hall was filled to the very last seat, a clear sign of the great interest of the Greek community in this important topic. The combination of organizational support from AHEPA Frankfurt e.V. and the expertise of the Consulate General made the evening a complete success.
