Alexandra Gravas Captivates Audience at Philanthropic Concert of AHEPA Frankfurt in Alte Oper Frankfurt

The Alte Oper in Frankfurt was filled with music and joy last Friday night, as Greek opera artist Alexandra Gravas gave an outstanding performance. The internationally renowned Greek artist captivated the audience with her unique repertoire and her eight-language concert program titled “#HORIZONS”. The concert was an event of a philanthropic character, with proceeds going to the victims of natural disasters in Greece, the research program “Modern Greek Dialects as Living Tradition” (University of Jena), and the association “Help for Children with Cancer Frankfurt e.V.” “I am so happy to be here tonight and be able to help those in need,” said Alexandra Gravas, “Music is a powerful tool to bring people together and make a difference in the world.” AHEPA District 28/Europe Governor, Dimosthenis Mammonas, said: “This was an event with unprecedented success in promoting our Organization’s noble causes. I want to congratulate our District Treasurer, Savvas Apostolidis, our local Chapter President and District VP for Civic Responsibility, Nikos Michos, and all those who contributed to this great project!” AHEPA District 28/Europe Treasurer, Savvas Apostolidis, added: “We managed to bring together all components of local society in this event, not only Greeks and philhellenes, but also a much wider audience. This was just the beginning; we are ready to move forward in pursuing our Organization’s objectives in defence of Hellenism in Germany and across Europe.” The audience was mesmerized by the singer’s powerful voice and her ability to connect with the crowd. She sang a variety of songs in different languages, ranging from Greek, German and French to Spanish, Italian, German, Arabic and Chinese.
